Cud is food brought back up and chewed again until it's broken down into smaller pieces. If a goat gets sick, it's very important to make sure their rumen is working. If the rumen stops working its called rumen death and the goat will die. So you could say that the rumen is the most important chamber of a goats 4 chambered stomach.
